Existing crash pings still use legacy telemetry. This is increasingly problematic as we want to make better use of them but don't have the required tools, additionally our ability to improve them is limited given that legacy telemetry is not under active development anymore. Last but not least we don't have support for legacy-based telemetry on Fenix so we have no telemetry at all there.

Given all the above we should be migrating crash pings to Glean ASAP, as a stepping stone to make them central to our stability efforts. This is the meta bug that I'll use to track all the related activities.

This stack is ready to be landed (I don't have level 3 access).

Crash pings have been migrated and functional for quite some time (not to mention that they were newly added to Android as well). I'm going to close this as completed, leaving the removal of the Legacy Telemetry ping to bug 1962160.
